Getting STEVE FELD on the ballot for the August 4, 2020 Republican Party primary election
Thank you for finding your way to my www.labyrinth4info.com website to learn more about me as a candidate for the office of State Representative for the 17th Legislative District in Arizona. Your experience with state government is probably like mine - what we know of "state representative" is that it seems to be an obscure part-time office occupied by brave individuals willing to work for $24,000 a year, and NO we voters WILL NOT increase the pay for the office, quit asking us with each new election. Am I right?
The nearly fourteen week period of time to circulate the nomination petition will soon come to an end at 5 pm, today April 6. On the ballot will certainly be the incumbent and perhaps two other names for the primary election. Many thanks to those who signed my petition - my name will not be on the ballot this time for not qualifying in the first step of gathering 595 plus signatures. As this was my first nominating petition drive to campaign for an office, the experience was most worthwhile for the next time!
One individual I spoke to expressed his concern for an improvement in the laws and the continuing reporting of past troubles with the law which restrict "the living" in the lives of many of our fellow Arizonans. His concern had to do with how a 15 year old felony DUI conviction with penalties paid and time served, etc. still affects his chances for loan and apartment leasing approvals and more. There ought to be an Arizona State Government official certificate stamp on his credit records that endorse the complete restoration of his rights (including voting) as a United States and Arizona citizen without prejudice.
I will add this concern to the other similar concerns I am interested in working through for good changes for a better life in Arizona for many people among us struggling with legal discrimination.
